Measure for artists 1
Hello lovers of art! I have to say that, if you want to be a real artist, you have to know about measure. We know that, all the thing that we want to draw, has a measure, and sometimes, it is not easy to draw it as it is in real life. That is why we need tools to measure what we are drawing, and if we use them, then we will draw whatever we want more exactly and precise. Here there are three ways to use the measure to draw:

For example, if you know the measure of the three parts A, B and C:
A is from the knee to the armpit, B is from the elbow to the chin, and C is from the belly button to the feet
With this three units of measure, you can obtain also the half of that measure more or less: a, b and c.
If you are coping an sculpture like this, you can try with another A, B and C, and a, b and c. The only rule is that A, B and C has to be very different measures. In this case you can see perfectly the difference between A, B and C.

It is also common to use only one unit of measure. Instead of A, B and C, you are going to use only a part of the object that you are coping. If it is a body, you can use the measure of the head, and see how many heads are the whole body.
It is proved that in almost all the bodies, the measure is seven heads.
It is a very funny way to measure and you can do it with the part that is more useful for you!
You can measure with you pencil with your arm extended and one eye closed. Then we took the measure by putting our finger on the end of the measure. We bring the measure to the paper and we can draw each part comparing the sizes measure that we take with our pencil.
You can compare the length and the width, the size of the different objects...
